FAQ

I have forgotten my password; what do I do?

You can change your password in the Serviceportal.

Do I need to explicitly request access in order to use the WiFi network?

MLU students are allowed access to the WiFi network upon enrollment, via their username and password, with no further action.

Employees and guests need to request WiiFi access explicitly. This can be done at account creation or, at a later time, via phone request: (+49) 345-55 21888.

My username and password do not work anymore when trying to connect to the university WiFi network.

If you have received your username and password before August 2014, please note that you will need to activate your account in the Serviceportal before accessing the WiFi network.

At which locations can I access the university WiFi network?

The WiFi network is generally available in all university facilities. The sign to the left signifies the availability of a university WiFi access point.

You may also use the interactive map    in order to find out about availability at a certain location. Click on the green "plus" sign and choose "WLAN".

Where do I find information about network service interruptions?

We post about service interruptions and related issues on our blog.

Can I access the WiFi network from multiple devices?

Using your credentials, you can access the WiFi network from two devices concurrently (for example, from your mobile phone and a laptop).

Can I access the new "uni-halle" network using WPA?

The "uni-halle" network does not support access via WPA. Please use the WPA-EAP (or "WPA-Enterprise") mechanism instead.
